How We Set Our Harvest Dates, Yields and Mold Ratings
Every figure on our strain pages is a range, and that is deliberate. This page explains what those numbers mean and why no honest seed bank can give you a single date or a guaranteed weight.
Why our numbers are ranges
Flowering time, outdoor harvest date and yield all vary depending on growing conditions: the grower and their experience, the method, the soil or medium, the amount of light, and above all the weather that season. Two growers can plant the same seeds in the same province and harvest three weeks apart with very different weights.
When we say 7 to 9 weeks of flowering, or late September to mid-October outdoors, or up to 500 g per plant, that range covers what we and our growers have actually seen. Treat it as a guide, not a promise, and read the plant: trichome colour tells you more than a calendar.
What "mold resistant" means
No cannabis strain is 100% mold resistant. When we describe a strain as mold resistant, we mean it is mold tolerant: less prone to mold and mildew, and usually slower to be affected when they appear, especially in a cool, damp fall.
Humidity, rain, airflow, plant spacing and how long the plant stays out after it finishes matter as much as genetics, often more. Harvest on time and keep the air moving, and a tolerant strain gives you a real edge. Leave any plant out through a wet October and no genetics will save it.
Where our numbers come from
Our ranges come from our own grows in Quebec and from the reports our customers leave on each strain page. When growers report a different result from what we publish, we update the page. If you have grown one of our strains, your review helps the next grower.
