These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About CBD AC/DC
Genetics & strain profile
CBD AC/DC is a CBD-rich strain derived from Cannatonic, a balanced hybrid with 15 to 20% CBD and THC at or below 1%. The page describes it as easy to grow for novice and experienced growers alike, and it carries our beginner-friendly badge. It has two reviews, both five stars. One grower says it “turned out fabulous” and that it was time to make some CBD oil. The other review is about Charlotte’s Web seeds, not AC/DC, so we will not count it as evidence for this strain; it does show that growers like this family of CBD plants. That is very little customer data, so most figures here come from the breeder’s description. Because THC is so low, this is not a plant for a strong high, and we cannot promise any effect. Our seeds are guaranteed, so if a seed does not come up, contact us.
How CBD AC/DC grows
This is a photoperiod strain, so it flowers when you move to 12/12 indoors or as the days shorten outdoors. Indoors it flowers in 65 to 75 days (9 to 11 weeks) and can give 350 to 400 g/m². The page gives one clear instruction: keep temperature and humidity steady to prevent mould. Outdoors it typically finishes in late September to early October with 400 to 500 g per plant depending on conditions, so in Quebec and Ontario start indoors in April, plant out after the last frost and watch the autumn rain. A cover or greenhouse for the last weeks helps, thin the inside of the plant, keep air moving and harvest on a dry day. A light hand with nutrients is the safer path for a first grow. Check your local rules for CBD-rich plants before you plant.
Taste, aroma and effect
Earthy and woody, with hints of citrus and spice and a slight sweetness. With so little THC, the effect is described as clear-headed and focused, with a relaxed feeling of well-being, which many growers choose for daytime, and the woody, spicy profile is a pleasant change from the sweeter fruit-forward plants. For other CBD-rich strains from us, see CBD Charlotte’s Web, CBD Harlequin and CBD Critical Mass.
