Which Runtz should you grow?

For the original: Runtz, the Gelato and Zkittlez cross the others are built on.

For the fastest finish: White Runtz flowers in 7 to 8 weeks, the shortest of the photoperiod Runtz strains, with 25 to 29% THC.

For the highest THC: Black Runtz, at 30 to 32%. It is 70% indica and easy to grow. The effect is deeply relaxing, with a euphoric, mood-lifting start.

For a berry flavour: Blackberry Runtz. It starts as bright berry candy and deepens with curing into a rich berry-cream Kush.

For the biggest outdoor plant: Lemon Runtz, with up to 1,000 g per plant outdoors. It needs the longest season of the seven.

For a milder Runtz: Mint Runtz, at 19 to 22% THC, and easy to grow.

For a first grow or a short season: Runtz Autoflower. It flowers on its own, is easy to grow and reaches up to 29% THC.

Where to start

Three Runtz, three reasons

Growing Runtz outdoors in Canada

The harvest date is what separates these strains for a Canadian grower. Runtz, White Runtz and Black Runtz are ready from late September to early October. Blackberry Runtz follows in early October. Mint Runtz and Lemon Runtz need until mid-October.

October brings night frosts, and a late plant has to resist mould. If your season is short, choose one of the three earliest, or grow Runtz Autoflower. Keep Mint Runtz and Lemon Runtz for gardens where fall stays mild, or grow them indoors.

For more early strains, see our September harvest seeds.
