QCS Outdoor Yearbook

Dated outdoor grow reports from Canadian customers: harvest dates, heights and mold results by strain, compiled from real reviews. Autumn 2026 edition.

Quebec Cannabis Seeds outdoor yearbook

How this yearbook is made

Every entry comes from a review a customer wrote on a product page, or from our Google reviews. We kept the reports that give a date, a place, a height or a weather and mold result, and we summarize them in our own words. We did not add anything that a reviewer did not say.

Dates in brackets are the month the review was written. Places are the ones the reviewer named. These are customers’ own reports and we have not verified them, so read them as examples, not promises. Your results depend on your weather, location and planting date.

We update the yearbook each autumn. For estimated harvest windows by strain, see outdoor seeds for short Canadian summers and our signature strains. To see why many autoflowers finish before fall mold, read autoflower seeds for North American climates.

Harvest dates customers reported

From the earliest to the latest harvest.

Auto Devil XXL: An autoflower started at the end of April and moved outdoors in mid-May was chopped in mid-July. Plants reached 4.5 to 5 ft in grow bags and gave 4 to 5 oz each (review, Jul 2024).

Critical Autoflower: One plant harvested in June and another in October, both compact, with no mildew or insects (review, Oct 2021).

Auto Watermelon Zkittlez: Southern Ontario, 15-gallon pots: harvest started in late August, and the grower felt the plants could have used a little more time (review, Aug 2022).

Quebec CBD 20:1: Backyard garden in Edmonton: germinated in early May, transplanted in May and harvested in late September, with blue and purple buds from the cooler nights (review, Feb 2022).

Amnesia Lemon Fast Version: Seed started April 1 and planted in the ground outdoors, then harvested September 29: a 9 ft plant that gave about ¾ lb (review, Oct 2022).

Fat Bastard: Eastern Ontario: Fat Bastard plants harvested on October 1, 4 and 7. The biggest was over 7 ft tall and almost as wide (review, Oct 2024).

Fruity OG Kush: Grown in the ground and harvested October 5, giving two 4-litre jars of dried, trimmed bud (review, Oct 2024).

Quebec CBD 20:1: Ontario: started April 20, flowering began September 4, and the plant was cut down early on October 10. The grower warned it might be a tough outdoor grow in some regions (review, Oct 2021).

Lemon OG Kush: Planted outside June 1. On September 14 the plants were over 8 ft and in week 5 of flowering, with harvest expected in the first week of October. The grower found it more sativa than described (review, Sep 2023).

Quebec Black Gold: At 49.5° N: started indoors April 15, planted in the ground May 30 and harvested October 18. The two plants were 6 and 7 ft tall and gave 2 and 2.5 lb dried (review, Oct 2025).

Zkittlez Autoflower: Eastern Canada: fully matured by the end of October, about 1 lb per plant and over 6 ft tall (review, Feb 2022).

Quebec CBD 20:1: Put outside July 1 in a 15-gallon fabric pot, 5+ ft tall, and harvested October 30 because of frost, before it was fully ready (review, Dec 2022).

Strains that ran later than expected

Quebec Early Bud: At 49.5° N in Ontario, plants 8.5 ft tall and 9 ft wide were still about a month from finishing on September 26. The grower did not find it early and doubted the weather would let it finish (review, Sep 2025).

Black Runtz: More than 9 weeks into flowering on October 20 and still not quite ready (review, Feb 2025, about the previous outdoor season).

Godfather OG: One grower had to finish flowering indoors because the nights turned cool (review, Sep 2024).

Reports like these are why harvest dates on strain pages are estimates. If your season is short, favour strains listed with a September harvest and plan to protect plants from cold and rain late in the season.

Reports of no mold or mildew

Quebec Early Bud: A grower in the ground and full sun got plants 6 to 7 ft tall and 6 ft wide that came through 60 km/h wind gusts and an early frost with no mould, rot or mildew (review, May 2024). Another grower called the genetics extremely mold-resistant (review, Oct 2024).

Quebec Gold Express: Two growers reported no rot or mildew so far (review, Aug 2024) and genetics resilient to mold and mildew (review, Nov 2024).

Quebec White: A single plant grown outdoors had no mold or mildew issues (review, Oct 2023).

Quebec Blast: Plants about 7 ft tall in 20-gallon pots were very resistant to mildew (review, Oct 2025).

Godfather OG: A grower called it resilient to mould and pests (review, Oct 2023).

Reports of mold, mildew or bud rot

Quebec LSD: Outdoor 2024: an 11.1 ft plant gave 27.14 oz dried. It never got powdery mildew, but some bud rot set in during the cold, rainy late September (review, Jul 2025).

Quebec Super Skunk: One grower found it a bit mould-prone outdoors but still fine (review, Nov 2025). An earlier review called it prone to powdery mildew (Aug 2020).

AK-47: A 7 ft plant had some powdery mildew but no nutrient problems (review, Oct 2020).

CBD Jack Herer: Powdery mildew on the leaves; the grower advised defoliating well (review, Oct 2021).

Acai Jelly: A grower harvested earlier than planned because of mold during the previous summer (review, Apr 2026, in French).

Black Cherry: Summer 2026 outdoor grow: mold began to appear in mid-August (review, Sep 2026).

Quebec White: A grower with white powdery mildew every September pruned the plants heavily to keep it down (review, Sep 2024).

What growers reported, by region

Alberta (Edmonton): Quebec CBD 20:1 harvested in late September.

Ontario, southern: Auto Watermelon Zkittlez harvest started in late August. Blueberry Fast Version sprouted in mid-May and its buds only began to purple in the last week of September.

Ontario, eastern: Fat Bastard harvested October 1 to 7.

Ontario, 49.5° N: Quebec Black Gold harvested October 18. Quebec Early Bud was still about a month from finishing on September 26.

Ontario, Ottawa: A 10 ft Acapulco Gold was 3 to 4 weeks into flowering on September 9 and the grower hoped it would finish (review, Sep 2022).

New Brunswick, north: Acapulco Gold grown outdoors in summer 2024 stayed short but very bushy, and the grower was very satisfied (review, Mar 2025).

Eastern Canada (province not named): Zkittlez Autoflower matured by the end of October.

We have no usable report yet from British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador or the north, and reviews written in French rarely name a region, so we have not mapped Quebec. If you grew outdoors in one of these places, please tell us.

What Google reviewers said

Quebec Cannabis Seeds has a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 79 Google reviews at the time of writing. In recent months a southern Ontario grower wrote that Quebec Black Gold and Quebec Blue are mold- and pest-resistant seeds with an earlier finish, and that early finishers are a good choice where humidity and mold are a problem. Another recent reviewer wrote that they grew outdoors with great success on indica varieties.
