These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →
Taste & Aroma Profile

About Banana Sherbet
Genetics & strain profile
Banana Sherbet crosses Banana with Sunset Sherbet: a 70% indica, 30% sativa hybrid with a very high 30% THC and low CBD, so it is one of the strongest strains we sell. It has a grower diary on GrowDiaries and six reviews, all 5 stars. The theme is size: “the plant took on gigantic proportions, it’s incredible”, “huge huge huge buds”, “100% quality, very strong plants”, and one grower’s buds were so heavy by week nine that they had all flopped over. An Ontario grower calls it “easy to grow, hardy, seems good at being mould resistant” and worth growing “100%” — with one caveat, that his outdoor plants got bud rot late in the season, which is the price of buds this big in a wet fall. Our seeds are guaranteed.
How Banana Sherbet grows
It flowers in 8 to 9 weeks, which is fast for the potency, with 600 to 750 g/m² indoors with proper care. Reviewers describe a strong, vigorous plant from the start with no growing problems; indoors, plan support for the colas, because one grower found them flopped over under their own weight at week nine, and another was harvesting “big sticky buds, all milky and just starting to go amber” at the same point. Outdoors it grows tall in full sun — one reviewer saw 8 to 9 feet — and finishes in late September to early October, which suits southern Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes and coastal BC. The thing to manage is bud rot: dense buds this large hold moisture, so give the plant sun and airflow, thin the inside, and check the big colas daily once the rains start; harvesting a few days early beats losing a cola. It carries decent mould resistance, but no strain is immune.
Taste, aroma and effect
Banana, sweet sherbet and earthy notes, with a burst of sweetness and tropical fruit when the buds are broken apart — one grower describes a “sublime smell of ripe banana at first” that developed into a sweet tropical aroma during cure, and “buds that smell amazing”. The effect begins with an uplifting wave of euphoria and happiness, then turns relaxing and blissful as the indica side takes over. At 30% THC it is very strong: this is an evening strain, and newer users should start with very little. For the Sherbet side, see Sherbet; for other dessert strains, Gelato and Wedding Cake; for another banana-flavoured strain that finishes early, Strawberry Banana Fast Version.

La plante a pris des proportions gigantesque, c'est incroyable

Excellent strain, easy to grow, hardy plant. Seems to be good at being mold resistant. This plant grows best in full sun and will grow tall, upwards of 8/9 feet. The strain grows large buds that smell amazing. One negative thing about this strain is bud rot when growing outdoors. Otherwise this strain is worth growing 100%.

What an awesome plant indeed. Its week 9 of flowering and the buds have gotten so heavy they are all flopped over. Sublime smell of ripe banana at first but then developed into more of a sweet tropical smell that is totally sublime. Good strong plant from the get go no problems growing this beauty out highly recommended.

Week 9. Big sticky buds, all milky and just starting to go amber, shooting for 10 percent amber. Can’t wait to smoke it.
