These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →
Taste & Aroma Profile

The flavour is earthy, peppery and sweet, with a sweetness often compared to freshly baked cake — one grower called the aroma simply “nice”, which undersells it; the GSC side is unmistakable once cured.
About Wedding Cake
Genetics & strain profile
Wedding Cake is a cross of Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) and Cherry Pie, an indica-dominant hybrid at 60% indica, 40% sativa with THC that reaches up to 25% and low CBD. It became one of the most requested strains in North America for its dessert-like sweetness and its dense, frosty buds, and it is one of our best-rated products: nine reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5. We list the growing difficulty as intermediate because the buds are tight and need airflow, but several first-time growers have done very well with it — one wrote “I highly recommend this plant for a beginner” after 100% germination and a fast, pest-free grow.
How Wedding Cake grows
Indoors Wedding Cake flowers in 50 to 60 days and gives up to 550 g/m². A grower on day 52 noted that the plant was finishing right on the schedule printed on the pack, which is rarer than it should be. The buds are dense, so keep the air moving and humidity under control in late flower to avoid mould and mildew; a light defoliation around the colas helps. Outdoors it is ready around late September, which suits Canada’s shorter season, with up to 550 g per plant — and often far more when it has room. Customers reported a plant 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide with a trunk that “literally has bark on it”, a 6 to 7 foot plant in a 30-gallon fabric pot, and an 8-foot plant in a flower bed. Reviewers describe it as vigorous and “very problem resistant”. If you want to keep it compact indoors, top early and use a net.
Taste, aroma and effect
The flavour is earthy, peppery and sweet, with a sweetness often compared to freshly baked cake — one grower called the aroma simply “nice”, which undersells it; the GSC side is unmistakable once cured. The effect opens with a burst of euphoria and an uplifted mood, then settles into a soothing body relaxation: creative first, calm second, which suits the late afternoon and evening. At up to 25% THC it is a strong strain, so newer users should pace themselves. If you like the dessert family, Do Si Dos is another GSC cross with even more THC; for a fruitier, easier balanced hybrid, see Truffle.

I purchased Wedding Cake seeds this past winter and sprouted 2 of them in the spring for me and a buddy’s outdoor grow. Very impressed with the way these plants grew. I did one in a 30 gallon fabric pot and it grew to 6-7’ tall and was at least 5’ around. The 2nd one my buddy put into the a flower bed and it was at least 8’ tall and 8’ around. Biggest plant I’ve ever seen. The buds grew nice and thick with really nice pink and purple hues. Harvested the 2nd week of October. Haven’t smoked it yet as it’s still curing but it is frosty and smells amazing.

Can anyone tell me on an indoor grow how tall this strain grew and what type of plant structure ? Use of SCROG or topping necessary ? I like the idea of early harvest but I'm leaning towards the auto because of its manageable easy indoor structure and height...though it takes longer

So far I love Wedding Cake. It grows fast and is a very pest resistant and an easy grow. I had a 100% successful germination rate. So far so good, will post update at harvest time.
I highly recommend this plant for a beginner.

You know how on the package it says how many days it could be ready, well this wedding cake is rated for 50 to 60 days,
I’ve got seeds from many places until I found Quebec seed bank, my grow is on day 52, and I’m beside myself, in the sense that this company stands beside it information..I’ve never been so happy with any grow..in another place they said 60 days, that plant was not ready in 14 weeks, finally had enough and cut it down..this is another reason I’m with Quebec seed bank..they texted me once saying sorry it might be late, it came in two days, if that’s late I love it…see you everyone and keep your stick on the ice, never give up…

Well at first looking at the Quebec blast, hard to explain, but there were so many leaves, you couldn’t see through the plant, I’d trim selectively and in days back covered in leaves, thing is plant was a foot tall, big round ball of leaves, but when changed to 12-12, she started to open up, what a beautiful plant…day 17 of flower.

Holy smokes ,I’ve been experimenting with water, and successfully watered 4 plants until they turned to flower…using only 5 gallons of water..I always seemed to over water. I couldn’t believe one chap saying he was putting 5 gallons of water in each 5 gallon pot daily..my plants are amazing..healthy.
