Bubble OG is one of our QCS Originals, bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from Bubble Gum, OG Kush and Skunk #1. It is a mostly indica hybrid with 23% THC that takes the sweet gum flavour of its Bubble Gum parent and puts it on an OG and Skunk frame built for production. We rate it moderate to grow, mostly because of its size: it is a big, vigorous plant that needs managing. One customer who received it as a freebie called it “one of the best strains out of six” with “great bag appeal” and a good yield, and six public grow diaries on GrowDiaries document it in Canadian gardens — one of them an 8-foot northern Canada plant with 16 colas and 690 g dry, taken down on 24 October after surviving a windstorm.

How Bubble OG grows

Indoors Bubble OG flowers in 8 to 9 weeks and produces dense buds at 500 to 700 g/m². Outdoors it grows tall and is typically ready in late September to early October, with up to 700 g per plant depending on conditions; it is a sturdy plant that handles Canada’s shorter, colder season well. The reviewer who grew the “monster” had practical advice: start topping once it reaches 2 feet and support the branches accordingly — he topped four times and still ended with a plant over 6 feet — and clean out the small inner branches so air flows through the dense canopy. That airflow matters in a wet September, because the OG-style buds are tight. Germination was uneven for one customer; contact us if a pack underperforms.

Taste, aroma and effect

Sweet bubble gum up front, with the earthy, piney notes of OG Kush and a skunky undertone that builds in late flower. The effect starts with an uplifting, euphoric rush and settles into a comfortable relaxation — indica enough for the evening, lively enough that it does not put you straight to sleep.
