In Quebec and Ontario, start indoors in April, plant out after the last frost and watch the autumn rain: indica-type flowers are dense and hold moisture, so thin the inside of the plant, keep air moving and harvest on a dry day. A cover or greenhouse for the last weeks protects an early-October harvest. For germination, keep the medium or paper towel damp but not wet and warm, around 22 to 25 °C, and give a seed several days before you write it off. Feed lightly at first and increase as the plant shows it is hungry.
