These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Hash Plant

Genetics & strain profile

Hash Plant is a classic indica bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from Northern Lights and an Afghani indica, two lines selected over decades for resin and resilience. It has 13 to 19% THC — moderate by today’s numbers — and it is rated easy to moderate to grow. The name is literal: this is the strain growers pick when they want to make hash, dry sift or bubble, because the buds are thick with resin heads that fall easily. A Quebec customer called it “by far my biggest producer for making tamtam” (dry sift); another, in New Brunswick, grew “the absolute biggest outdoor plant I ever grew — an easy pound plus”. Three reviews average 4.3 out of 5.

How Hash Plant grows

Hash Plant flowers in 7 to 9 weeks, fast for a plant of this size, and gives around 500 g/m² indoors. Outdoors it is a different scale: expect about 600 g per plant in a temperate climate, typically ready in early to mid-October, and well beyond that with a long season — a Quebec grower who started his seed on 14 February harvested over 2.5 lbs from one outdoor plant, and the New Brunswick grower’s 9-foot plant, in a 3-foot hole, had to be staked because the buds were so large. He pinched it twice, saw no bugs, and left it until after the first frost. The Afghani side makes it tough and the Northern Lights side keeps the smell manageable, but the dense colas want airflow in a wet October; stake early and thin the inner growth.

Taste, aroma and effect

The flavour is dank and hashy — earthy, spicy and resinous, true to its Afghani and Northern Lights heritage, with a sweet edge once cured. The effect is a classic indica curve: relaxed, euphoric and then sleepy, an evening strain for winding down and for sleep. At 13 to 19% THC it is forgiving for people who find modern strains too strong, and it shines as concentrate, where the resin does the talking. For the Northern Lights parent, see Northern Lights; for another heavy producer bred here, Quebec Gold 2.0.

Belle plante, une belle production et c'est bon à fumer. J'ai partie seulement 1 seed à date et c'était un bon phénotype. De loin mon plus gros producteur pour faire du tamtam. Je ne regrette pas mon choix!
