Mazar is the result of crossbreeding Afghani Indica and Skunk #1 — the hash-plant genetics of Mazar-i-Sharif on the vigour and consistency of the most famous Skunk — and it has been a grower’s staple for thirty years. It is an indica-dominant hybrid with 19% THC, and it is easy to grow, which puts it in our beginner-friendly selection. It is a newer listing in our catalogue with no reviews of its own yet, but it already has a fan in the reviews of another strain: a grower comparing our Purple Kush to his favourites wrote that “Mazar is still my favourite”. How Mazar grows
The plants stay short and compact and are resilient, with thick stems and the broad leaves of their Afghan parent — a classic tent plant that does not need much training beyond one topping. It flowers in 50 to 60 days with up to 500 g/m² indoors, and the buds are dense, so keep humidity moderate and airflow strong in the last two weeks. Outdoors, expect to harvest around October — early October for most of southern Canada given the short flower — with up to 600 g per plant depending on conditions. The Afghan heritage gives it a tolerance for cool nights and uneven weather, and the compact size makes it easy to cover or move under shelter if a wet week arrives. Feed moderately; it does not need much.
