These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Sensi Star
Genetics & strain profile
Sensi Star is a legendary indica from the 1990s, and our feminized version is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from Afghani genetics with a hint of sativa influence. It is a compact, resinous indica that suits both novice and experienced growers, known for rock-hard buds and a “heavenly floral bouquet”, as one Ontario grower put it. Four reviews average 4 out of 5 and they are unusually detailed. Germination reports are good — five out of five for two growers — and one who expected a squat indica was surprised to see his plants “growing like sativa”, bushy enough that he topped them at three nodes and spread six branches. The honest two-star review is the useful one: a grower in Eastern Ontario found it a tough outdoor grow, finishing on October 14 with grey mould pressure, and concluded it is better suited to indoors. We agree that this is a strain to grow inside or in a dry, airy spot.
How Sensi Star grows
The plants stay at an average height of 60 to 74 cm, which makes Sensi Star one of the easiest strains in our catalogue to fit into a small tent, and it flowers in 56 to 63 days. Expect a stretch after the flip despite the indica label — top once early and pin the branches down, as the reviewer above did, to fill the space with an even canopy. The buds are very dense and heavy with resin, so keep humidity low and airflow strong in the last three weeks. Outdoors it is typically ready around early October, and in a cool, wet fall it can run to mid-October, which is where the mould risk comes from: give it full sun, space between plants and consider a greenhouse or a covered spot in the Eastern provinces. Indoors, none of that applies, and the short flowering time makes it a quick turnaround.
Taste, aroma and effect
Earthy, musky and chestnut, with a floral sweetness in the aroma that growers notice from mid-flower on. The effect is a relaxing body high with just a hint of cerebral stimulation — classic evening indica territory, calm and heavy without being confusing, and a strain many people keep for sleep. For another compact Afghani-type indica with a Canadian track record, see Northern Lights; for a Kush with a faster outdoor finish, OG Kush; for an indica that tolerates a wet fall, Quebec White.

This is a tough grow here in Eastern Ontario. Legendary strain. Heavenly floral bouquet. Late finisher Oct 14th and Pistils have just started receding/browning. Most challenging is its susceptibility to gray mold. Likely better suited for indoors.

All Five seeds germinated. Growing well
Looks like a good producer
For being 90% Indica , they all are growing like Sativa. Glad I topped them at three nodes and pinned them down to spread out six branches. They are really bushy. I just finished trimming out 25% of the branches and defoliated bottom 40%. I’ll update my review in October

I ordered 5 sensi star and 5 ww, I also received 2 free packs of seeds :). Started 3 sense star, 3 widow, and 4 of the freebies. Sadly only 4 of the 9 popped, I did not write QCS because I got all the free seeds and the ones that grew are just lovely, so I am more than just happy. I did not label the seeds (wanted to be adventurous :). The plants are growing in planters ( not sure of the sizes but at least 20 litres each). Two of my mystery girls are 2m plus and the other two are just under 2m. I am having a ball, will try to keep u informed. I wish I had used Q.C.S. yrs ago might have saved a ton of cash. I don't think you can go wrong ordering seeds from Q.C.S.
Cheers guys and ladies
