Shishkaberry is a Canadian classic, bred from Blueberry and Afghani — the fruit of one of the most famous strains ever made on the hashy, heavy frame of the Afghan indica. It is a 100% indica with 26% THC that blends an old-school fruit aroma with a deep indica comfort, which is why it has been a favourite in Canadian grow rooms since the late 1990s. How Shishkaberry grows
Indoors it flowers in just 50 to 55 days — among the fastest in our catalogue — with a stout, manageable structure around 80 to 110 cm, a good fit for tents and a natural choice for a sea of green. Expect 600 to 700 g/m² with proper care: the Afghani side packs the buds dense and heavy, so keep humidity moderate and the air moving in the last two weeks, and support the colas late in flower. It feeds normally and takes topping and a net well. Outdoors it is typically ready in early to mid-October and, given a full season in good soil and sun, becomes a very different plant: 1,500 to 2,000 g per plant under solid conditions, a figure for the ground, not for a pot. The Afghan heritage gives it tolerance for cool nights, and the short flower keeps the harvest ahead of the worst of the fall rains in most of southern Canada.
