These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Poison Skunk
Genetics & strain profile
Poison Skunk is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds — the lineage is one we keep private — as an indica/sativa hybrid with 18 to 22% THC, and it is one of our best-reviewed strains: 22 reviews average 4.7 out of 5, with two grow diaries on GrowDiaries and our beginner-friendly badge. One grower has run it five seasons in a row; another calls it the easiest plant in his garden and the first one he reaches for every spring; several mention how readily it clones, and more than one has kept a mother. The honest notes matter here because there are enough reviews to see a pattern: a few growers, including the five-season one, report powdery mildew in humid or crowded conditions, while others with good airflow had none; and indoors the structure is spindly, sativa-like, with a moderate yield compared with the outdoor figure. Our seeds are guaranteed.
How Poison Skunk grows
It flowers in 7 to 8 weeks with up to 550 g/m² indoors, on a tall, open frame that wants topping and a net to fill the space; it is not the bushiest indoor plant, as reviewers note, but it is one of the least demanding. Outdoors is where it shines: typically ready in late September to early October with up to 650 g per plant depending on growing conditions, early enough for all of southern Canada, and growers report that it handles heat without herming and turns purple in the cold late in the season. Because of the mildew reports, give it space and airflow: do not crowd plants, strip the lower growth, and in a wet September consider a preventive sulphur or potassium bicarbonate spray before the flowers set. Take a cutting before the flip if you like it — several reviewers wish they had.
Taste, aroma and effect
Sharp, pungent skunk with a sweet, earthy edge, the old-school profile the name promises, and a smoke that growers call smooth once cured. The effect is a balanced hybrid’s: an uplifting, cheerful start that settles into a relaxed body without heaviness, which suits the afternoon as well as the evening. At 18 to 22% THC it is strong but not punishing, a good step up for someone who found a 15% strain too mild. For other skunk strains bred here, see Quebec Super Skunk and Grape Skunk; for another easy, early outdoor strain, Quebec Early Bud; for the classic, Island Sweet Skunk.

I got 2 seeds free with some other purchases. Germinated one and it grew fine. I only gave it 4 stars as I have just cut the first generation seedling down and it isn’t quite dry yet. I had zero problems with PM as others posted but I have adequate air movement. I did take care not to let it get too leafy, took out shade leaves when things got crowded.

Tres belle genetique autant interieur qu'a l'extérieur. Robuste et facile a cloner, tombe mauve avec des températures basse en fin de floraison! Superbe genetique je recommande!

I’ve grown one of these P/S plants. It grew much faster and differently than an indica. Right off I could tell it wanted to be very big. The branches were very spindly with nodes very far apart. The end product was VERY popular but the yield was moderate at best. Indoors it’s a labor of love not profit. I had zero PM issues others reported. The plant looked like it was made of plastic. 2x4 tent with 6” duct fan at 75% at the bottom inlet free flowing out the top duct hole. Top shelf nutes and a 4000 watt LED light set at 400 PAR for veg- 700 PAR bloom. The tent was in an air conditioned room. I hope that helps those having PM issues. It is killer smoke but not for profit

Like Frank who has written a review here I'm having the same issue. I have one poison skunk and one wedding cake in a 4x8 tent. About 26 days ago the poison skunk developed PM (white powdery mildew), and the wedding cake is fine. I've never seen this before. It's a shame. The poison skunk and wedding cake are doing nice except for the PM. I'm now 13 days from flush and I'm taking them down early. The wedding cake is still ok but the skunk is starting to cover the whole plant. The wedding cake is also from here. These guys have great strains so I'm confused.

I have grown this strain 5 times and I like the finished product, it is one of my faves to smoke, but every plant has had PM issues when none of my other strains do? indoors and outdoor.

J'ai reçu mon colis dans un délai de 2 jours. C'est un très bon service. En plus, j'ai reçu des graines supplémentaires en cadeau. Merci!
Je n'hésiterai pas à commander de nouveau des graines et à recommander le site à mon entourage.

I grew this strain indoors and it was absolutely beautiful. it handled quite a bit of heat in flower and didn’t herm. I’ve obviously fixed the temp problem, but the plant has a lot of potential. I’m doing another grow off some clones in a cooler environment and the plants have taken off to a great start. The strain came out nice with a strong piney, peppery, fruity, earthy smell. My only complaint is the plant didn’t do well in flower but in a cooler environment it will be nice to see. I won’t run into the same issues so I’m looking forward to fatter tastier nugs. The effects of this plant are great for anxiety and depression it’s very calming. it’s a bronchodilator so after I used it breathing was a bit better. It feels like a great balanced hybrid. 10/10 would recommend it's crossed with some of my favorite strains.
