These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Quebec Blast

Genetics & strain profile

Quebec Blast is one of our own strains, bred here in Quebec for short northern seasons: mostly indica, 24% THC and less than 1% CBD, with feminized seeds that give consistent plants. It carries our mould tolerant badge, has five grower diaries on GrowDiaries, and 18 reviews average 4.9 out of 5. Growers describe a vigorous, trouble-free plant: “very fast and vigorous grower with no issues”, “very resistant to mildew and rot”, and one Quebec grower says it was the only strain that survived an overly hot summer in his tent. Another found two very different plants from two seeds — one short and topped to ten even tops with bright red, golf-ball buds, her sister much taller — so expect some variation in height and colour. The one reservation comes from a grower who found it very piney and a little harsh, and missed the sweet finish others describe; he still gave it 5 stars for the yield. Our seeds are guaranteed.

How Quebec Blast grows

Indoors it reaches a medium height, compact and fairly leafy with an indica structure, and flowers in about 9 weeks with 300 g/m² or more; it is easy to clone and one grower had dense, rock-hard buds at 57 days. Outdoors it is a different animal: an untopped freebie seed in an 8-gallon pot grew into a 5-foot Christmas tree, and plants in 15- and 20-gallon pots of Pro-Mix reached 7 feet, “very frosty, stinky and sticky”, with about half a pound per plant — up to 500 g in good conditions. Those tall plants needed support, because wind broke branches on one grower’s plants in October, so stake or cage them. Harvest is typically mid-October, which suits southern Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes and coastal BC; it tolerates common pests and mould well, though no strain is immune, and it handled heat better than anything else in one grower’s tent.

Taste, aroma and effect

Fresh pine first, then spicy, peppery herbal notes and a sweet finish — a Quebec grower calls the terpenes out of the ordinary, “spruce, pepper, spice”, and says the smell was modest in flower but exploded during curing. One reviewer found it mostly pine and a little harsh without the sweetness, so the finish can vary by phenotype. The effect is euphoric and clear-headed at the start, then relaxing and introspective: “an excellent indica buzz that does not put you to sleep”. At 24% THC it is strong, so start small. For other strains bred here, see Quebec Gold 2.0, Quebec Black Bud and Quebec Super Skunk; for another mould-tolerant indica, Critical Magic.

Grew 1 plants outside and wow. They were grown in promix in 15 and 20 gallon pots. They got about 7 feet tall and were very frosty, stinky and sticky. They are very resistant to mildew and rot. After harvest ( mid October only due to windy conditions breaking them) I ended up with approximately 1/2 pound per plant. I left some on the plant and it’s still not moldy. I would definitely recommend this strain and will grow again next year.

Started 1 plant from a freebie seed this summer in a 8 gallon pot and the results are amazing. Plant is a very fast and vigorous grower with no issues. We are now at the end of September and the plant is 5 feet tall and has grown untopped into a classic Christmas tree shape. Buds are not that big however they are extremely dense and rock hard with nice crystal production. The smell is sublime and resembles Vicks vapour rub very piney but sweet at the same time. If I could start over I would have used a larger pot and used more fertilizer as plant is a heavy feeder. Two thumbs way up, highly recommended

Ok we are 57 days in flower, 2 wedding cake finished hanging to dry, and the Quebec blast is so crazy, it’s as if there was a mistake and a seed from different area rolled in..one plant is short, topped once and got ten tops exactly…thing is the buds are bright red, and round like golf balls, but the color is incredible..the second one is much taller with massive buds, dark in color, and to be true I’m glad this is the way it is, got 2 in 1..so happy with this grow, still not finished, But it’s going to be one wonderful Xmas…should be burped by then…yippee..
Thank you Quebec seed bank…wow every time..some people say they are coming back, I say you can’t get rid of me…lol

I got this plant, planted two, and one the buds are deep red, so pretty it’s so beautiful, it’s smaller than her sister..however her sister has grown much taller, and with five tops around one and half feet tall with the buds around 14 inches and bear bottle round, and it’s very close to finish, 52 days in flower, and I’m in shock, the beauty..plus on time again, another plant that says how much time to grow, and it’s more than true, thank you to all you hard working girls and guys who make our dreams come true..
Thank you QCS.

Had to come back to say I actually forgot how she grew or looked like I went through so many strains…
But this Quebec Blast is so funny looking, I love the way she looks, short, but so bushy I had to give her some careful hair cut, now she is standing higher, and praying to her maker, gosh what a beautiful plant, I’ll fill everyone in in a month, as it has a fast growing period which is awesome, the difference between plants are truly amazing, but I got to wait few months for more seeds, and looking at another with the heading Quebec , blue, gold, many types, I’ll try them all…one type I’ll have to get is Wedding Cake, until I find another that helps pain
