These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →
Taste & Aroma Profile

Sweet strawberry, with Haze and a touch of spice on the exhale — ripe fruit first, then incense and pepper, on a smoke that is thick and expansive enough to earn the “cough” in the name, though our reviewer calls it smooth and enjoyable.
About Strawberry Cough
Genetics & strain profile
Strawberry Cough is a mostly sativa hybrid bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from Haze and Strawberry Fields: the long, clear, energetic high of the Haze family on the fruit of one of the sweetest strains ever made, selected for the strawberry-forward, expansive smoke that gave the original its name — it is the strain Kyle Kushman made famous, and the one that won Best Flower at the Cannabis Cup in 2013. It has 22% THC, it is one of our QCS Originals, and we rate it moderate to grow. It has one review so far, five stars from a grower who finishes it “at 8 or 9 weeks with my other strains, and the buds still turn out very large and dense — they pack a punch and have a smooth, enjoyable strawberry flavour”. One review is a small sample; we will add grower reports as they come in. Our seeds are guaranteed.
How Strawberry Cough grows
Indoors it reaches a medium height for a sativa, with the open, branchy Haze structure that fills a net after one topping, and flowers in about 8 weeks — short for a Haze cross, and our reviewer confirms it finishes on schedule with his other strains — with around 400 g/m² of large, dense buds. Feed it moderately, and keep the air moving in the last three weeks; the buds are denser than most sativas. Outdoors it likes a sunny, warm spot and is typically ready in early October with about 575 g per plant depending on growing conditions — early enough for southern Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes in a normal year, and one of the better sativas for a Canadian garden because it does not run into November. Give it full sun and shelter from the wind, and stake the colas.
Taste, aroma and effect
Sweet strawberry, with Haze and a touch of spice on the exhale — ripe fruit first, then incense and pepper, on a smoke that is thick and expansive enough to earn the “cough” in the name, though our reviewer calls it smooth and enjoyable. The effect is on the sativa side: energetic, focused and cerebral, a daytime strain for getting things done, with a happy, social lift and little heaviness. At 22% THC it is strong, and the Haze side can be racy for anyone prone to anxiety; start small. For the strain’s cousins, see Strawberry and Strawberry Kush; for other daytime sativas, Hawaiian Sativa and Durban Poison.

Grown with great success. I finish my crops with this sativa at 8 or 9 weeks with my other strains, and the buds still turn out very large and dense. They pack a punch and have a smooth enjoyable strawberry flavour.
