White Runtz is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from Zkittlez and Gelato — the same two parents as Runtz itself, selected here for the white, frost-covered phenotype that gives the strain its name. It is a balanced hybrid with 25 to 29% THC, which puts its top end among the strongest strains in our catalogue, with heavy trichome production; low CBD, well under 1%, as a reviewer asked. It is one of our QCS Originals, carries our mould-tolerant badge, and we rate it moderately easy to grow, for new and experienced growers alike. The flowers get dense and heavily frosted, so keep humidity moderate and the air moving in the last three weeks, and feed moderately with calcium and magnesium under LED, since the Cookies side burns on heavy nutrients. Outdoors it is usually ready by late September to early October, which suits Canada and other northern climates, with up to 500 g per plant depending on growing conditions, and it is tolerant of common pests and mould, though no strain is immune. Cool nights late in flower bring out the purple under the frost.
