These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Jack Herer
Genetics & strain profile
Jack Herer Autoflower is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from the classic Jack Herer crossed with Ruderalis: a sativa-dominant autoflower with 17.25% THC, rated easy to moderate to grow, with six grower diaries on GrowDiaries and 20 reviews averaging 4.6 out of 5. The praise is consistent: “killer smoke all round, great grow every time”, “a wonderful genetic — hardy, grows massively in DWC, and the high is cerebral and uplifting followed by a nice period of calm”, “very fast, hardy grow, very sticky, excellent smoke — a lemony, piney terpene smell”, “just harvested my Jack autos and man did they produce”. The honest notes are about time and size: several growers needed 12 to 14 weeks rather than 9, and plants reached 4 feet; one indoor grower had plants still not flowering at 92 days, and one lost all ten seeds at the seedling stage. How Jack Herer Autoflower grows
Because it is an autoflower, it flowers on its own schedule without a change in light hours. We list about 9 weeks of flowering; reviewers who let it run — “9 weeks is not nearly enough, I let mine cook to 12½ weeks” — got the best results, and a Quebec grower outdoors “in all that rain with almost no nutrients” had big hard buds in a few weeks. It is a large auto: “very nice large (4 feet) auto, vigorous growth… nice open structure, no pruning or staking needed outdoors but would require a lot of training indoors”, and “LST tie-downs are essential” in a tent. Indoors it gives around 480 g/m²; outdoors about 150 g per plant — one grower weighed about 100 g per plant at 14 weeks, another found it “produced” heavily in DWC. Plant it in its final 20-litre pot, keep the light on 18 to 20 hours, feed at half strength and train it low and early; it is the auto to choose when you have the height. Rarely, an individual plant does not autoflower on time — a known trait of sativa auto crosses — so give it the full 14 weeks before judging it.
Taste, aroma and effect
Haze, pepper and spice, with the lemon and pine reviewers mention and, on some plants, a surprisingly skunky smell in the garden. The sativa side gives an uplifting, cerebral high — “cerebral and uplifting, followed by a nice period of calm” — while the indica side relaxes the body; a daytime strain, and at 17.25% THC a friendly one. “Everything in the plant’s description is all true — try a little Jack!”, as one reviewer put it. For the photoperiod original, see Jack Herer or the bigger Big Jack; for its QCS auto cross, Double Jack Autoflower; for another sativa auto, Amnesia Autoflower.

Got this as a freebie from another order and I just had to take the time to get a review in. A wonderful genetic hardy grows massively in dwc and the high is cerebral uplifting, followed by a nice period of calm.

Gifted me self a small indoor setup in December, as till now I've been an outdoor garden guy. Just harvested my Jack H. autos, and man did they produce. Large auto plants, and LST tie downs are essential spreading out the plants. 9 weeks is not nearly enough, I let mine cook to 12 1/2 weeks and the harvest, curing smells are mouth watering.

Very fast hardy grow. Very sticky. Excellent smoke. I will absolutely grow this strain again. A lemony, piney kinda terpine smell. EXCELLENT HIGH.

Very nice large (4 feet) auto, vigorous growth. 2 of 4 germinated (freebies). Took almost 14 weeks to finish and produced around 100 grams per plant. Easy to grow, nice open structure, no pruning or staking needed for outdoor but would require a lot of training indoor, rock hard easy to trim buds. Suprisingly skunky smelling plants, more so than the skunk#1 auto from qcs. Can't wait till this one cures as early samples already taste great and have an excellent clear energetic daytime high!

This is a very tall plant and did well outdoors during mid summer. From seed to harvest took about 11 1/2 weeks for me. I got a nice harvest — probably 30 grams or so. I used a microscope and waited for about 1/2 the tricomes to turn amber before snipping it. I ought to mention one happy accident. At about 8 1/2 weeks from planting, I repositioned the plant to absorb more sunlight (as the sun became lower in the horizon the plant was getting less like due to a nearby tree.) when I move the plant into full sun, there was an explosion of new tricome production, resulting in this beautiful white frosting all over the buds. If this hadn’t happened, I probably would have harvested at week 10, but this gave me an extra week of growth and fatter buds
