These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Purple Skunk
Genetics & strain profile
Purple Skunk is built from Skunk #1 crossed with an older purple strain whose name has been lost — which is how a lot of good Canadian outdoor genetics came to be. It leans sativa, with 15 to 19% THC, and carries our harvest from September badge. Its one review so far is a four-star one that is the best description we have of the plant: “beautiful dense, thick purple buds, 1½ inches thick by 7 to 9 inches long… could pull them at 56 days but I prolonged it — the trade-off is bigger bud, fewer terps… tested low THC at 16% but a great smooth smoke”, and then the surprise: “infused in teas it is a magical potion, my wife says — never slept so well, calming, relaxing with no brain fog the next morning”. So: a moderate-strength, good-looking skunk that one couple uses as a bedtime tea. If you grow it, a review helps the next person. Our seeds are guaranteed.
How Purple Skunk grows
The plants are generally of medium height for a sativa-leaning strain — about 5 to 8 feet outdoors in the ground — with the vigorous, open frame of Skunk #1, so stake them by August and top them in June if you want them wider than tall. Indoors it flowers in 8 to 9 weeks with 400 to 600 g/m²; the reviewer’s buds were ready at 56 days and he let them go longer for weight, at a small cost in aroma, which is a fair trade to know about. Outdoors the harvest commonly lands in late September to early October, inside the Quebec season, with 300 to 500 g per plant. The purple comes with cool September nights and is stronger in some phenotypes than others. It is a Skunk: hardy, forgiving with nutrients, happy in plain soil, and it smells — plan for odour control indoors. Soak seeds 12 to 24 hours and plant directly in warm, barely damp soil.
Taste, aroma and effect
A strong skunk smell on the plant, with an earthy, almost wine-like taste rounded out by sweet, berry-like notes after curing; the reviewer calls the smoke “great” and “smooth”. The effect is an active, euphoric, cheerful buzz, good for daytime at 15 to 19% THC — though the same reviewer found it calming and sleep-friendly as a tea, which is the Skunk side showing through at a higher dose. For the parent line, see Skunk No.1; for other Skunks, Grape Skunk and Quebec Super Skunk; for a purple indica, Purple Kush.
