These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Critical Fast Version

Genetics & strain profile

Critical Fast Version is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds as a blend of Afghani and Skunk genetics — the Big Bud lineage behind every Critical — 60% indica, 40% sativa, with 17.94% THC, and reworked to finish in a Canadian September. It carries our beginner-friendly and harvest-from-September badges, and five reviews average a perfect 5 out of 5. One outdoor grower ran it two seasons in a row and got 11 ounces of “super frosty hard buds” from a single plant in a 15-gallon pot, in bud by early July and done in six and a half weeks — “definitely in my top 5 outdoor” and, the second year, the best smell and the stickiest of his three Fast Versions. Another grower was “utterly shocked” at how much more it produced than its sister Northern Lights Fast Version, “pushing her stems and supports to their limits”. A Fast Version is a photoperiod plant with a small share of autoflower genetics, which is how it finishes early; that gene also makes it more sensitive to stress. Our seeds are guaranteed.

How Critical Fast Version grows

The plants grow to a medium height with the sturdy, bushy Critical frame and strong side branches; indoors it flowers in a quick 6 to 7 weeks with up to 400 g/m², and the weight is the thing to plan for — stake or net the colas by week four, as a reviewer’s supports found out. Outdoors it goes into bud in early July and is typically ready in September with up to 300 g per plant in optimal conditions, a figure reviewers beat handily in big pots with organic soil; that timing suits Canada and other northern climates, and most Fast Versions finish in September, a few reaching the first week of October. The date always depends on the grower and the conditions — experience, weather and stress all move it, and stress matters more with a Fast Version because of the autoflower gene it carries, so avoid late transplanting, light leaks and big swings. Buds this dense need air in a wet September: keep the plants spaced and strip the lower growth.

Taste, aroma and effect

Rich and earthy, with lemon and herbal notes, on hard, frosty buds that reviewers call sticky and sweet-smelling. The effect is relaxed — a calm, easy body with a clear head — and at 17.94% THC it is one of the gentler strains in our catalogue, which makes it a good choice for someone who finds the 25%-plus hybrids too much, for daytime use, or for a first crop. For the full-season Criticals, see Critical Kush and Critical Magic; for its Fast Version sisters, Northern Lights Fast Version and Big Bud Fast Version.

After last year's success with this strain we did it again this year. We did it the exact same way except we used cheap nutrients from are local CT Store with nearly the exact same results (read my review from last year) out of the three FV we did this year it definitely has the best smell and the most sticky of all. Definitely in my top 5 outdoor strains I've ever grown in pots with repeatable results year over year. Going to try one in the earth next year. You can bet I'll be doing another review then.

A friend gave me one of these seeds. I grew this one in just a 15 gallon pot using the living organic method. Very nice plant with great structure. Went right in to bud in early July. Well done in 6 and a half weeks. Just finished trimming her up an hour ago. 11 OZ. of super frosty hard buds not bad off a small plant. Smokes really nice we're all impressed. I will definitely be growing this one again.

Currently in the final weeks of flowering this strain...

Kritt really lives up to her name. Im utterly shocked at how much more bud she produced than her sister (Northern Lights Fast)... Really pushing her stems and supports to their limits!

I can't wait to cure this breathtaking plant. I wish I could add my pictures to these comments. 10/10 will buy these seeds again when they're back in stock!
