Girl Scout Cookies, or GSC, is the California strain that launched the whole Cookies family, created from a blend of OG Kush, Durban Poison and Cherry Kush. Our feminized version is 60% sativa, 40% indica with up to 20% THC, and it is one of our best sellers and in our beginner-friendly selection. Fourteen reviews average 4.6 out of 5 and seven public grow diaries document it. The reports are specific: a grower in southwest Ontario had one plant top out “at just over 1 kg” of sticky buds, started under a 60-watt HPS in late February and finished outdoors in early October; an indoor grower pulls about 300 g per plant dry in a 5×5 tent and calls it one of his all-time favourites; several mention the purple hues and the “heavenly” smell. One grower put it well: “the flower is just majestic”. The one one-star review on this page is about the germination of free seeds and an unanswered chat message, not the strain itself; we have since fixed how we handle support messages.

How Girl Scout Cookies grows

GSC reaches a medium height and the plants are resilient — one reviewer’s plant took a big hit from a pH imbalance and “fully recovered in time for a nice yield”. Indoors it flowers in 8 to 9 weeks with up to 500 g/m²; the buds are dense and frosty, so keep airflow up late in flower. Outdoors it is ready around early October with up to 500 g per plant in good conditions, and the Ontario grower above got double that from a plant in living soil planted out in mid-May. A public diary recorded an outdoor plant grown organically for 143 days through a stretch of brutal heat with no mould and no pests. One honest note from a western grower: a hot-cold spring forced her plants into flower early, so give it stable conditions in May and June if you can. Germination reports are consistently good.

Taste, aroma and effect

Earthy and sweet, with the doughy, mint-chocolate depth that made Cookies famous and a cherry note from the Cherry Kush. The effect is an uplifting mental high combined with a relaxing body buzz: euphoric and creative at first, then calm, which is why it works for an afternoon as well as an evening.
