These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →
Taste & Aroma Profile
The aroma is strong diesel from the GG4 side with earthy undertones and a hint of sweetness and vanilla from Cookies and Cream — a loud plant in flower, so plan for odour control indoors.
About Grease Monkey
Genetics & strain profile
Grease Monkey is a cross of GG4 (Gorilla Glue #4) and Cookies and Cream, two of the most resinous strains of the last decade. The result is a 70% indica, 30% sativa hybrid with 25% THC and low CBD — a strong strain that is nonetheless rated easy to grow, which is why it sits in our beginner-friendly selection. GG4 contributes the fuel aroma and the sticky, glue-like resin; Cookies and Cream adds a sweet vanilla edge and a dense, frosty bud structure. It is a newer listing with a single review so far: a customer who started five Grease Monkey and two bonus seeds had all of them thriving after two weeks and praised the “beautiful fresh vibrant seeds”.
How Grease Monkey grows
Indoors Grease Monkey flowers in 55 to 65 days and gives up to 500 g/m². It resists many common pests and diseases, which keeps it low-maintenance, and it stays at a manageable height with a GG4-style branching that responds well to topping and a net. The buds are very dense and very resinous, so keep humidity down in the last three weeks and give the plants airflow. Outdoors it is typically ready in early to mid-October with up to 450 g per plant depending on conditions — a realistic window for southern Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes. Handle the plants with gloves at harvest: the resin from this family coats everything it touches.
Taste, aroma and effect
The aroma is strong diesel from the GG4 side with earthy undertones and a hint of sweetness and vanilla from Cookies and Cream — a loud plant in flower, so plan for odour control indoors. The effect is euphoric first, then calming and deeply relaxing in the body: an evening strain that works for unwinding and for sleep. At 25% THC it is strong, so newer users should start small. For its GG4 parent, see Gorilla Glue; for another dessert-leaning indica, Wedding Cake.
