These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →
Taste & Aroma Profile
Sweet and creamy from Gelato, with the grape-like aroma of GrandDaddy Purple and purple colour in a cool finish — “intoxicating aroma in late flower”, “the stickiest, stinkiest stuff”, in reviewers’ words, and one keeps a jar a year later that “is still killer”.
About Cheap Seeds Gelato X GrandDaddy Purple
Genetics & strain profile
This is our own Gelato x GrandDaddy Purple cross, bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds: a balanced indica-and-sativa hybrid with 21% THC and low CBD, easy to moderate to grow, with five grower diaries on GrowDiaries and eight reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5. Why is it cheaper? Because some autoflower seeds of the same strain were accidentally mixed into this batch, so a pack may contain a few autoflowers, or none at all — that is the only reason for the price. In practice the autos are rare: “popped 3 of 5 and none were autos”, “only one auto out of 15 seeds” from a third-time buyer, “grew one and she was a photo”, “I got no autoflowers”. What you get otherwise is a big, beautiful plant: “the biggest, healthiest, most beautiful plants I’ve ever grown outside — a couple are at least 8 feet and loaded with flowers, and no mildew”, “photogenic flowers with vibrant colours and thick sugar rails”, “the stickiest, stinkiest stuff… over 8 oz dried off one plant”. One Quebec grower was unhappy with small plants from his two seeds; the rest were delighted. Our seeds are guaranteed.
How Gelato x GrandDaddy Purple grows
Indoors it flowers in 8 to 9 weeks with up to 400 g/m², and it is the kind of plant that rewards attention: “massive fan leaves in veg”, “these really like to stretch a lot once in flower, and they’re absolute gluttons for nutrients” — so top it, net it, and feed it well through flower. Outdoors it is typically ready in early October — one grower finished in late September — with up to 700 g per plant depending on growing conditions, and reviewers have gone past that: 8 feet tall and loaded, 8 ounces and more from one plant, and a trained plant in a 3 by 6-foot planter expected to be “my highest yield single plant of all time”. Reviewers report no mildew and no pests. If one of your seeds turns out to be an autoflower, it will start flowering on its own about a month in regardless of light hours; let it finish in its pot (about 10 weeks from seed) and treat the rest as the photoperiod plants they are. Germination has been strong — “all 5 seeds popped” — and is guaranteed.
Taste, aroma and effect
Sweet and creamy from Gelato, with the grape-like aroma of GrandDaddy Purple and purple colour in a cool finish — “intoxicating aroma in late flower”, “the stickiest, stinkiest stuff”, in reviewers’ words, and one keeps a jar a year later that “is still killer”. The effect pairs an uplifting head with deep relaxation in the body, and at 21% THC it is strong enough to start small. For the parents, see Gelato and Granddaddy Purple; for the autoflower versions, Gelato Autoflower and Granddaddy Purple Autoflower; for another frosty Gelato, Frosted Gelato.

This is a beautiful hybrid. Massive fan leaves in veg. Intoxicating aroma in late flower. Photogenic flowers with vibrant colors and thick sugar rails. These really like to stretch a lot once in flower and they're absolute gluttons for nutrients.

I'm growing this right now. Popped 3/5 seeds and none were autos. Currently have a massive outdoor plant that I trained the hell out of growing in a 3'x6' concrete planter. It's been stretching like crazy lately getting ready to flower and for sure thanks to the training it's going to be my highest yield single plant of all time. I'm guessing 1.5 - 2 LBS once it's done. Takes nutrients very well and seems no matter how much I feed it it never shows signs of overfeeding. Took well to training and even took a few clones from it in case it turns out to be a real keeper.

Amazing! Had a great yield all 5 seeds popped, wish I could send a pic. 3rd time buying this strain, also I've only had one auto out of 15 seeds.

Beautiful easy to grow plant. Grew 1 and she was a photo. Fat heavy buds, she’s almost ready and will be taken down next week. Anticipating a good 6 oz off her if not more.

These are the biggest healthiest, most beautiful plant I’ve ever grown outside! A couple are at least 8 feet and loaded with flowers. And no Mildew! I can’t wait until they are mature in a couple of weeks! I got no auto flowers

Amazing grew these last year and the one I popped wasn't auto and it was the stickiest stinkiest stuff. Great yield didn't have any pest or mould issues finished late September. Still have some jarred up and it is still killer crossed it with Roysl kush and it is nuts. Got over 8oz dried off one plant. The other reviews on the Jack's say they were all auto idk if I was lucky or what but worth the shot. Tastes like killer Gelato. Better than the store 100%
