Banana Kush is a feminized, mostly indica strain from a cross of Ghost OG and Skunk Haze. It has up to 23% THC and low CBD. Ghost OG brings strong indica relaxation, and Skunk Haze an uplifting, cerebral side. It carries our harvest-from-September badge. We have to be straight about the reviews: there are two, both one star, and both are about germination. One grower, writing in French, got none of five seeds to germinate, which has never happened to them in many years of growing. The other, with 15 years of growing, planted five seeds in FoxFarm Light Warrior and says it was the first time they had problems with non-viable seeds. We take these seriously. How Banana Kush grows
This is a photoperiod strain, so it flowers when you move to 12/12 indoors or as the days shorten outdoors. It flowers in 7 to 9 weeks, which is relatively fast, and gives up to 500 g/m² indoors. The page says the plants stay easy to manage. Outdoors, aim to harvest in late September to early October with up to 500 g per plant depending on the growing conditions, so in Quebec and Ontario start indoors in April, plant out after the last frost and watch the autumn rain. Mostly indica plants make dense flowers that hold moisture: thin the inside of the plant, keep air moving and harvest on a dry day. For germination, a damp paper-towel start at a steady 22 to 25 °C and a light, airy medium are the safest route, and keep notes if any seed fails so we can help.
