About Super Silver Haze
Genetics & strain profile
Super Silver Haze was built in Amsterdam in the 1990s by crossing Skunk, Northern Lights and Haze: the soaring Haze high, with Skunk and Northern Lights added to shorten the flowering time and bulk up the buds. It won the High Times Cannabis Cup three years running (1997 to 1999) and became the reference sativa of its era. Our Super Silver Haze feminized seeds are our own cut of that lineage: a sativa-dominant hybrid with about 19% THC, selected for the classic cerebral effect, heavy resin and the biggest yields in our sativa range.

How Super Silver Haze grows
We rate Super Silver Haze moderate, and the difficulty is patience rather than fussiness. Indoors it flowers in 10 to 11 weeks and rewards the wait with up to 800 g/m² under strong light. Top early and flip early, because it stretches a lot, and keep humidity in check in the last three weeks: the long colas can hold moisture and are prone to mould and mildew.
Outdoors it is ready around late October, with up to 1,500 g per plant where fall stays mild and dry. Be honest with yourself about your climate: in most of Quebec and the Maritimes, late October is too late for an outdoor Haze, so grow it indoors or in a greenhouse. In southern Ontario and British Columbia it is an outdoor gamble that can pay off with an early indoor start, full sun and a willingness to harvest a little early if frost or weeks of rain are forecast. Taste, aroma and effect
The aroma is earthy, with citrus and spice and a pungent skunk note that gets loud late in flower — plan on a carbon filter indoors. The smoke is smooth and spicy with a lemony, slightly sweet finish. The effect is strong, cerebral and long-lasting: a burst of energy and creativity with a lifted mood and very little body heaviness. It is a daytime and social strain that can feel racy for anxious users, so start small.
