These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Panakeia CBG

Genetics & strain profile

Panakeia is a high-CBG, near-zero-THC hemp cultivar, registered under the denomination HURV19PAN and bred through repeated selection from KC Virtus- and Zenit-derived hemp lines. Where a normal cannabis plant converts most of its CBGA into THC or CBD as it matures, Panakeia was selected to keep that pathway pointed at cannabigerol (CBG): under published Canadian growing conditions it reaches up to about 18% CBG indoors and 14% outdoors, while THC and CBD both stay below 0.01%. It is non-intoxicating — there is no THC-driven high — and that is the point: it is a strain for growers who want CBG-rich flower, not a recreational variety. The seeds are 99%+ feminized. It is a new addition with no customer reviews yet; the figures here come from the cultivar’s published Canadian trial data, and we will add grower reports as they come in.

How Panakeia CBG grows

Panakeia has an indica-dominant, medium, stout structure with numerous branches, medium internodal spacing and well-stacked flower sites — a manageable plant rather than a tall hemp pole. Indoors it flowers in about 60 days and can give up to 550 g/m², and indoor flower is where the highest CBG figures (about 18%) have been recorded. Outdoors, Canadian guidance is to plant in late May through June and harvest from late September to early October, with up to 650 g per plant in optimal conditions and up to about 14% CBG; it has been trialled in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec. Like other high-cannabinoid hemp, it can respond to stress with sexual expression, so keep conditions stable. Actual CBG levels vary with phenotype, environment, harvest timing and the lab that tests them.

Taste, aroma and effect

The aroma is earthy and herbal — fresh herbs, wood, mild spice, tea-like notes and the occasional hint of mint — clean and botanical rather than fruity or fuel-heavy, and it varies with phenotype, curing and storage. There is no intoxicating effect: with THC below 0.01%, Panakeia offers none of the euphoric, sedating or cerebral effects listed for our THC strains, and its appeal is its cannabinoid profile, its genetics and its growing characteristics. For our CBD-dominant strains, which keep a mild THC component, see CBD Charlotte’s Web, CBD Harlequin and the rest of our CBD seeds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBG?

Cannabigerol, the cannabinoid most others are made from in the plant. Panakeia was bred so that CBG accumulates instead of being converted into THC or CBD.

How much CBG does Panakeia have?

Up to about 18% indoors and 14% outdoors under published Canadian conditions; results vary with phenotype, environment, harvest timing and testing.

Does Panakeia CBG get you high?

No. THC is below 0.01%, so there is no intoxicating effect.

How long does Panakeia take to flower?

About 60 days indoors. Outdoors, plant in late May to June and harvest from late September to early October.

How much does Panakeia yield?

Up to 550 g/m² indoors and up to 650 g per plant outdoors in optimal conditions.

Are Panakeia seeds feminized?

Yes, 99%+ feminized. Keep conditions stable, since stress can affect sexual expression in high-cannabinoid hemp.

Where has Panakeia been grown in Canada?

It has been trialled outdoors in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec.

What does Panakeia smell like?

Earthy and herbal — fresh herbs, wood, mild spice and tea-like notes, sometimes a hint of mint.
