These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Bubba Kush
Genetics & strain profile
Bubba Kush is a feminized, 90% indica strain that was originally developed by combining Afghan and OG Kush genetics. It has 18 to 20% THC and is known for deep relaxation. It has four reviews, all five stars. One grower calls it a very good yield and an excellent product, and another was two weeks from harvest and found it magnificent, only regretting that photos could not be added to the review. Two more reviews, from the same person, give five out of five for germination and say they received three Gorilla Glue freebies, calling QCS the best seed bank ever. We are glad of the praise, but four short reviews are still a small sample, so treat the yield as a range. Our seeds are guaranteed, so if a seed does not come up, contact us.
How Bubba Kush grows
This is a photoperiod strain, so it flowers when you move to 12/12 indoors or as the days shorten outdoors. It flowers in 60 to 65 days, which is relatively fast, and gives 500 to 600 g/m² indoors. Outdoors the plants grow to a good height, and the page says to aim to harvest in mid-October with 600 to 800 g per plant. Mid-October is late for Quebec and Ontario, so start indoors in April, plant out after the last frost and plan on a cover or greenhouse for the last weeks, because a 90% indica makes dense flowers that hold moisture. Thin the inside of the plant, keep air moving and harvest on a dry day. Indoors, top early and train the branches wide so that the light reaches the lower flowers. Check your local rules before you plant.
Taste, aroma and effect
Sweet, earthy and spicy. The effect is strong and deeply relaxing, as you would expect from a 90% indica. At 18 to 20% THC it is moderately strong, and newer consumers should still start with a small amount and wait before taking more, because effects vary from person to person. It is a plant for the evening more than the morning. The earthy smell carries, so plan for odour control indoors. For related strains, see OG Kush, Granddaddy Black and Northern Lights.
