These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Sugar Candy
Genetics & strain profile
Sugar Candy is a feminized strain bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds by crossing Caramelo and Sugar Black Rose. It is 60% indica and 40% sativa with 25% THC, and the page rates its growth level as easy, which is why it carries our beginner-friendly badge. It has one review so far, five stars, from a grower who grew three different strains in the same round, including QC Blue and LSD, and says Sugar Candy really stood out. They called the high absolutely incredible and euphoric and it was their favourite to smoke. They also call it a bit finicky to grow: ease of growing gets four stars and bag appeal three. We think that is a fair note to pass on, because easy on paper does not always mean forgiving in the room. Our seeds are guaranteed, so if a seed does not come up, contact us.
How Sugar Candy grows
This is a photoperiod strain, so it flowers when you move to 12/12 indoors or as the days shorten outdoors. The plants grow to a medium height and flower in 7 to 8 weeks, with up to 600 g/m² indoors. Outdoors, expect to harvest around late September to early October. The page quotes up to 2,000 g per plant in optimal conditions, which is a very large figure, so read it as the best case for a big plant in rich soil and full sun, not as what a typical garden will give. In Quebec and Ontario, start indoors in April, plant out after the last frost and use a cover or greenhouse for the last weeks of autumn rain. Given the review, pay close attention to feeding and watering in the first weeks, keep notes, and adjust one thing at a time. Check your local rules before you plant.
Taste, aroma and effect
Citrus, with sweet and floral notes from Caramelo. The effect is described as uplifting, and the reviewer found the high euphoric. At 25% THC it is strong, so newer consumers should start with a small amount and wait before taking more, and effects vary from person to person. Bag appeal is the weak point in that review, so do not expect show-stopping buds from every plant. The sweet smell carries, so plan for odour control indoors. For related strains, see Candy Kush, Gusher and Melon Gum.

Sugar Candy is an amazing weed, but a bit finicky to grow. 5 stars for the high of this weed itself. Bag appeal: 3 stars. Ease of growing: 4 stars. High is absolutely incredible. I grew three types this grow, including QC Blue and LSD and Sugar Candy really stood out. It was my absolute favorite to smoke, and the high was so euphoric. However, out of the 5 seeds I bought, three of them were extremely frail after they popped and didn’t make it, due to damping off. The other two ended up being extremely vigorous in time and yielded great buds. I had a 100% success rate with all other seeds from the other strains I had germinated, and all seedlings had the same conditions. So, I think Sugar Candy is very fragile in its early life stages, and if you grow, I recommend buying double the amount of seeds you require.
