These figures are ranges, not promises. Flowering time, harvest date and yield vary depending on growing conditions: the grower, the method and the season's weather. "Mold resistant" means mold tolerant: less prone to mold and slower to be affected. No strain is 100% mold resistant. How we set these numbers →

About Zkittlez
Genetics & strain profile
Zkittlez is the candy-flavoured indica that took over West Coast dispensaries in the mid-2010s, and our feminized version is bred by Quebec Cannabis Seeds from the same parents: Grape Ape and Grapefruit. It is a mostly indica strain with 21% THC, which puts it in the comfortable middle of the range — strong enough to matter, not so strong that it overwhelms the flavour, which is the whole point of this strain. It is a newer addition to our catalogue, so there are only two reviews so far, both five stars; one grower a month into flower reported plants “looking and smelling great and filling in nicely”. We will add grower reports as they come in.
How Zkittlez grows
The plants grow to a medium height with the sturdy, bushy structure of their Grape Ape side. Indoors Zkittlez flowers in a quick 7 to 8 weeks and gives 400 to 500 g/m²; the buds are dense and heavily resinous, so keep airflow up and humidity moderate in the last two weeks. Outdoors, expect to harvest around late September to early October, with up to 500 g per plant in optimal conditions — an early finish that suits most of Canada. With cooler nights late in flower the buds take on purple tones. Low-stress training in veg pays off, because an even canopy keeps the lower buds as dense as the tops.
Taste, aroma and effect
The flavour is sweet — tropical fruit and grape candy from Grape Ape and a tangy citrus edge from Grapefruit — and the aroma builds steadily through flower. The effect is a relaxing, calming body high with a happy, easygoing head: an afternoon and evening strain that leaves you functional rather than flattened. At 21% THC it is approachable for most users. For its sweeter, cherry-leaning cross, see Truffle; for another purple candy strain, Blackberry Runtz.
